CLASS Description

Join Bert Behnke in this week-long intensive workshop where you can learn about all things photography from a Master Photographer. This class will be all about photographing and anything that relates to being in the business of photography. There will be hands on photo sessions of families, couples, and women, or anything the class might want to tackle. There will be discussions on what is needed to run a photography business, from setting up your business, work-flow, designing a studio and marketing. For over 40 years, Bert has photographed everything from babies and maternity, to fashion and families, he does it all and can teach you too!

Sunday evening will start with an interactive session where all students can share their strengths and weaknesses to get the most out of this class, including image reviews. Then Bert will develop individual plans for each of you to get the most out of this class. One day will start with a local location photo shoot, followed by post-production and the process of how to work with the client. Another day will take us outdoors to work in all kinds of lighting and location situations with families. Bring your camera gear, you will be photographing, with coaching available to help you create great images.

Another day will feature a sunrise portrait session, followed by a marketing workshop. We will also have a studio design/operations workshop to get you organized to be more efficient. We'll even do a fashion style shoot to get your creativity flowing, great for women or seniors. As a bonus, each student will get a $100 credit for a book to use as a studio portfolio from KoyLab, one of my sponsors. You can design your own book from your own images that you bring with or from images done at this workshop.

All in all, it will be a fun week of photographing, talking shop and pushing yourself to be a better photographer for your clients.
