Rick Friedman has been a photojournalist for decades. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, he travels the world for numerous publications, corporations, advertising assignments and film and television productions. His published work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, Nature, USA Today, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, Stern, Discover and many other publications. He has produced over 75 book and magazine covers and worked on 13 film productions.
Rick is a Chimera Lighting Visionary, a PNY Ambassador and a Dynalite VIP. Rick is known for his portraits of politicians, academic, authors, scientists and celebrities. He has photographed every U.S. presidential candidate from President Jimmy Carter to President Donald Trump. A recent issue of "Professional ImageMaker" magazine features a 7 page article written and photographed by Rick. He is the past President of the Boston Press Photographers Association and has won awards from the American Society of Media Photographers, the National Press Photographers Association, and the Boston Press Photographers Association. He has work appeared in many exhibitions and is in the permanent collection of the Newseum in Washington, DC, Harvard University, and many private collections.
